Every student has a unique relationship with music.

At Sovana Piano Lessons, our approach combines strong musical foundations with personalized instruction, creating a learning experience shaped around each student’s level, interests, and goals.

We work with students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians. Instruction emphasizes technique, sight-reading, music theory, ear training, rhythm, interpretation, and performance, while encouraging students to understand the music they play rather than simply learn the notes.

As a studio affiliated with the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), Sovana also offers preparation for the Certificate of Merit (CM) program. Whether learning for personal enjoyment, developing advanced skills, or preparing for performances, each student receives structured guidance while having the freedom to explore individual musical interests.

Our goal is to help students become confident, independent, and expressive musicians while building skills and a connection with music that can last a lifetime.
